Example: Her boyfriend cheated on her and she think it ok to cheat on him.
Example: My friend is smoking weed, it is ok to smoke too. 


Stereotyping

1-all the British love tea.
2- all the Muslims are terrorist.
3- all the black people are good in boxing.
4- all the Americans are stupid.
5- video games are just for boys.
6- all the women are bad in driving.         

Exercise #8

6.13:yes the argument is good based on sound reason/ premises that (lower production = higher petrol) 
6.14:No-False: Standing in rain does not load to a cold. 
6.15: No-false: the pollution made by the who lives in the city if they moved to country side, they will cause the same problem in the city.
6.16: No-False:the good menu doesn't mean good food.
6.18: No-False: we cant depends on the statics there poor people and kids and people who they likes to be single. 
6.19: No-False: our fingers are not same even people are not same you cant know the nationality from the behavior.    

Exercise-7

  PS4 is better than Xbox1 based on the operating system; memory and available games 

 

 In 20^th of feb,2012 Sony Computer Entertainment showed the world the new member of PlayStation family and it’s called playstaton4 and it was available for the players in 2013. In same year Microsoft also shows as the new generation of the Xbox family and it’s called Xboxone, until now all people around the world asked who is better than other Japanese or the Americans devices?

  I’m with who said the PS4 is better the Xbox1 because many reasons for example the PS4 is cheaper than the Xbox1, the PS4 cost just 399$. The second reason is the services is better the PlayStation plus is needed to play online but it is cost just 50$ for year membership and 20$ month membership and its also gives free games every month and discounts for the PlayStation store and there are many services like PlayStation now that makes able to play games that released in older console like PS3 and PS2. The two console have the same hardware 500 GB and in the PS4 the hardware is like the hardware in the Pc so its makes the developing games easier and you can change the hardware. The exclusive games or the games are made from Sony studios is better like: Infamous, Mortal Kombat and The last of us. Finally the graphic the most of the games is better in PS4 because it work at 60fps and 1080p.

 It is obvious who is winning the war but our fingers are not same, the two consoles have huge lovers and raciest to the his best console but I see the PS4 is better because: it’s cheaper and had many wonderful exclusive games and better services and finally better graphics.

ARGUMENT 1

The following are the basic factors of an argument:

·        A position or a point of view

·       An attempt to persuade others to accept that point of view

·        Reasons given to support that point of view.

·       Conclusion

Read the following passage and identify the following:

Main argument:

diseases can move from infected cats to pregnant woman people who had poor immune

Reasons that support the argument:

1.Infectious protozoa cause disease for human and its comes from cat hosting it.
2.babies can loose their movement ability and eyesight.  
 3. People with weak immunity and AIDS protozoa will face death from their cats 

 Conclusion:
 cats can cause deaths and diseases to pregnant women and who had poor immune without knowing if the cat hosting the virus. 

 It is important that pregnant women and those with a pure immune systems become aware of the potential risks posed by cat. Many of us keep cats as house pets without realizing the dangers they may be harboring. Cats are hosts to infectious protozoa that cause disease in mammals such as humans. Adult humans rarely showed signs of significant disease if they become infected. However, if pregnant women become infected, the foetus can become infected by parasites and suffer serious congenital damage. In the worst cases, infants may lose their eyesight and acquire motor deficits. In people with poor immune systems or AIDS protozoa can cause seizure and death. The symptoms of the disease are not evident in cats so there is no way of knowing if a particular cat is at risk. 
 

 

exercise #5

Improved attention and observation. 

 When i got my driving license i began to think what a car i have to buy, i want car consume lees fuel and with good price, i started ask my fried and my family about the cars that they have options. all of them recommended the new Toyota Corolla.

More focused reading.

 There many types of the corolla and many colors, white,red,blue,black, the standard, middle and limited specifications. so i need to look for videos and reports comparing between them in the internet so i have to watch them carefully. 

Improved ability to identify the key points in a text or other message rather than becoming distracted by less important material. 

 I decide i will buy white corolla with middle specifications because i don't need the other specification in limited and the white color because is cooler in the heat than other colors.

Improved ability to respond to the appropriate points in a message.  

 I will go to Alfuttaim motors or any another shop to see the car in real life and to test drive and the important thing if its  comfortable or not and and looking for the best price.

Knowledge of how to get your own point across more easily.     

   I will go to customer service and ask them about advantages and disadvantages and is there are discount or not and what is coming with the car.

 I can use these steps to buy other thing like phone or computer or electronic devices and absolutely will be best way.
 

Exercise #4

Misunderstanding what is meant by criticism:

some people think negative comments is criticism and  negative comment is can make many problems. and the other people criticism is not good because is negative activity and misunderstand the main idea of the criticism.  For example: when  my friend finish his English report i found his English need to improve he told me are jealous of what i wrote. so he misunderstand my feedback.  

Lack of methods and strategies,practice

lack of plans and formula and will lead to huge mistakes and fails and didn't practice more enough. For example: when you want to get high marks without put a schedule and time table and study hard will lead to low marks or fail.

Reluctance to criticize those with more expertise.

when you want to give advice for someone who is higher than you or have experience than so you keep quiet because you think you will disrespect him. For example: In police meeting the colonel shows his plan to avoid accidents and all the police men kept quiet because he is higher than them in rank.

Affective reasons.

when you think your emotion gives you a good stand in the argument but it is gives a bad stand. For example: when you talk with anime lover and told him his favorite character you don't like it he will get mad. 

Mistaking information for understanding.

some people just want the solution and they don't want to know how to solve the problems. For example: when your mobile phone didn't work properly you don't search for solution you take it to the shop to fix it.    

 Insufficient focus and attention to detail. 

the expert critical thinking is to go deep in every detail and the weak critical thinking based on superficiality details and that cause a wrong conclusion. For example: when your soda is messing and you think your older brother steal it because he always do.
